David believes that music and performing arts education is a singularly important part of any youth development, no matter what life’s journey has to offer, no matter what career or higher education path one decides to take. The skills obtained (technical, artistic and social), the culture absorbed and the history learned are the elements that will form the back bone of our future generations.

He also teaches for the I’m A Bright Kid Foundation, directing its summer performing arts morning program in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

David and Summer Performing Arts Program staff-mates at the Paliku Theater, University of Hawai’i Campus.

“There is sheer joy in the efforts to impart my knowledge and experience to our youth”, he says, “and at the end of the day, this is all about lifting people up, building character and self-esteem through self discovery and teamwork…and having fun doing it!”

David also teaches and music directs youth theater at Queens Theater In The Park.
